“I need to see Jonathan,” the man in the suit said glancing around.
“I'll bet you do. If you would please give me your name.” Mike said with so much fake courtesy you could smell it.
“My name is not important,” said the man handing Mike five hundred dollars .
“How right you are, right this way.” Mike said eying the cash and waving the guy into the back of the shop.
“Jon! Time to get your head out of your exhaust, and talk to someone.”
Jonathan Thumaren was one Australia's best street racer, but to hear him say it, he was the all time world champion.
“ Hey Tim, for you information this is a turbocharger, How much did you pay pay Mike to get back 'ere?”
“Five-hundred.”
“You got taken mate he woulda done it for fifty.” Jon said smirking as he cleaned his hands on a rag.”
“Ah well, look your sponsorship is on the line, if Joshua Brogan wins the tiebreaker tomorrow might you will lose your sponsorship.”
“Right, I had figured that out in fact if you hadn't interrupted me I would be completing the work on my car so I can win the race, but I am stuck here talking to a suit.”
“Hey man I hate to be the bearer as much as the next guy. You know me you know I am not behind the axing.”
“I know, I know but still it's not exactly happy fun time when your bread and butter is about to be taken away.”
“No worries, look I have to go I left you something around back good luck tonight, I'll be there rooting for you.”
Riyo Kazuki was flying in across the pacific to race in a cross country European street race running Spain to Austria. He was the number one the street racer in Japan and was coming to prove he had what it takes to be a world champion.
“Exeuse me sir,” Riyo barely heard over the blaring music in his headphones, pausing his I-pod he took off his headphones and looked up at the flight attendant.
“What would you like to drink,” the flight attendant said placing a plate of food on the tray Riyo had just pulled out of his armrest.
“I'll have a Coke, thanks,” said Riyo thinking how much first class paid off, he was gonna have to fly like this more often.
“Here you go, please enjoy the rest of your flight.”
“Thanks I was planning on being miserable, but maybe I'll take your suggestion,” said Riyo playfully the attendant smiled and went on to the next row. Surveying his food only reaffirmed his belief that first class was the was to go.

You've got a good start here! The interruption and character shift have certainly got me wondering how these two characters are going to meet up. When's the next instalment?
